Swedish nature is accessible to the public in a unique way, thanks to the Right of Public access. This means you are allowed to visit any natural area that is not private gardens, near a dwelling house or land under cultivation. You can hike, camp, pick berries and mushrooms, and much more. Read more about this freedom to roam here.
The Nature Guides of Greater Stockholm are part of the Stockholm branch of the largest environmental organization in Sweden, Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC). All guides are biologists or biogeologists and are authorized by the Stockholm Visitors Board (Visit Stockholm).
You can also experience the nature of Stockholm on your own or with a friend. Just outside of the buzzing city you will find undisturbed forests, open fields full of wildflowers, lakes surrounded by stillness and much more.
